Prompt packs & guides

AI for finance, business, and beyond — written to keep the AI honest.

Most people get vague, confident, and occasionally wrong answers out of AI because they ask vague questions. These are the questions worth asking — about a set of numbers, a proposal, a plan, or a pile of documents — written out in full, with placeholders for your own detail.

The Honesty Prompt — included in every pack
Before you answer, follow these rules.

1. State clearly which parts of your answer come from the figures I provided
and which come from your general knowledge.
2. Do not invent numbers, tax rules, percentages, or statistics. If a figure
is missing, say it is missing.
3. If you are unsure, say "I am not certain" and explain what would resolve it.
4. Flag anything that depends on my country or tax jurisdiction.
5. End with a short list of what I should verify before acting on this.
Paste this above any financial question you ask an AI.
Why we do it this way

An AI that guesses is worse than no AI at all when there's money involved.

Language models generate text by predicting what usually comes next. That is why they will produce a tax threshold, a margin benchmark, or a "typical" ratio for your industry without ever having seen a number for your business — and say it in the same steady tone as something they got right. In most contexts a wrong answer is an inconvenience. In a set of accounts, it becomes a decision.

So every prompt we write does three things: it fences the model to the figures you supplied, it asks the model to separate what it calculated from what it assumed, and it requires an explicit statement of uncertainty. That won't make AI accurate. It makes it auditable — you can see where to check.

Fenced to your figures

Prompts state plainly: use only the numbers I gave you. No benchmarks, no industry averages, no projections unless supplied.

Calculated vs assumed

Output is required to separate arithmetic done on your data from general knowledge, and to tag assumptions so you can review them.

Uncertainty stated out loud

The Honesty Prompt forces an explicit 'I am not certain' where it applies, plus a list of what you should verify before acting.

AI tools generate text by predicting what usually comes next — not by checking facts. They can state a wrong figure, an outdated tax rule, or an invented statistic with complete confidence. Every prompt in this pack is written to reduce that risk, and each pack includes an Honesty Prompt that instructs the AI to flag its own uncertainty. It still cannot eliminate the risk. Check any number you plan to act on, and speak to a qualified accountant or adviser before making a financial, tax, or legal decision. These packs are educational materials, not advice.
