This policy explains what personal information SmartAlpha Analyst collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to purchases of our downloadable prompt packs and guides.
Information we collect
- Order data — your email address, the products you purchased, the order total, and a Stripe payment reference. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Download records — a random download token tied to your order, the date it was issued, and a count of how many times it has been used.
- Email sign-ups — if you request a free download or ask to be notified about an upcoming product, we store that email address and which list it came from.
- Account data — if you create an account, your email address and a password managed by our authentication provider. An account is optional for buying; checkout works as a guest.
- Usage data — standard technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) generated by our hosting provider to operate and secure the site.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not currently run any third-party analytics on this site.
How we use your information
- To take payment and deliver the files you purchased.
- To re-issue a download link if you lose one.
- To answer support requests and send transactional email.
- To send the free material or product notification you asked for.
- To keep the site secure and detect abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Optional AI assistant connection
We operate an optional connector that lets a signed-in subscriber connect an outside AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to a small set of SmartAlpha Analyst tools. You have to deliberately connect it and sign in through our authentication provider; nothing here runs as part of an ordinary purchase or of the PDFs we sell.
- If you use it, text you submit through that connection — for example financial statement text or a description of a forecast scenario — is sent from our server to the Lovable AI Gateway and processed by a Google Gemini model to produce the result.
- We do not store the text you submit or the model's response. What we retain is a per-account counter (your email address, your monthly action allowance, and how much of it you have used) so the allowance can be enforced.
- The AI provider processes that text under its own terms. Because it leaves our systems, please do not submit names, account numbers, tax IDs or other identifying details — the figures and structure are all these tools need.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing, receipts, and sales-tax calculation and remittance. Stripe receives your email address, the items and amount, and the billing details you enter at checkout.
- Our hosting and backend provider — website hosting, database, authentication, and storage of the product files we deliver.
- Our email provider — sending your download link and other transactional email.
- Lovable AI Gateway and Google — only for the optional AI assistant connection described above.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Where your data is processed
SmartAlpha Analyst is operated from Florida, United States. Your information is processed there and on the infrastructure of the service providers listed above, which may be located in the United States or elsewhere. If you are outside the United States, using this site means your information is transferred to and processed in those locations.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the site needs to work. Your cart is kept in your browser's local storage. If you sign in, your session is stored in your browser by our authentication provider. Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page it hosts, for fraud prevention. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@smartalphaanalyst.io from the address you used with us. Note that we may need to keep order records to meet tax and accounting obligations even after a deletion request.
Data retention
- Order records: retained for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Download links: expire seven days after they are issued and are limited in the number of downloads allowed.
- Email list entries: kept until you ask us to remove them.
- Account records: kept while the account exists.
- AI connector text: not retained. Only the usage counter described above persists.
Children
Our site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
